School Education and Literacy Department announces HSC and SSC Annual Exam 2021 would commence from the next month as reported below :
The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, and the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi will conduct Annual Examination 2021 from the first week of the month of July. This was announced by School Education and Literacy Department, Karachi in a notification on June 18, 2021.
According to the notification the SSC annual Exam, 2021 for SSC, Part II will commence from July 5, 2021, whereas that of HSC (Part-II) will start from July 26, 2021.
The annual examination of SSC (Part I), 2021 of the elective subjects (condensed syllabus) will be conducted after completion of the SSC (Part-II), Examination. Similarly the Annual Examination of HSC, Part I will be conducted after the HSC-II examination.
The paper pattern will contain 50% MCQs, 30% short answers, and 20% long answers whereas the examination duration will be reduced from 3 hours to 2 hours and 2 hours to 1 hour respectively, says the notification.
The notification further says that 5% marks will be added to the total obtained marks of the elective subjects of SSC and HSC (Part II) Annual Examination, 2021, and allocate average marks to all compulsory subjects in order to compensate the candidates.
Additional 3% marks will be added to the candidates’ results of SSC (Part-1) and HSC (Part-II) based on their performance in the SSC (Part-II) and HSC (Part-II) Annual Examination 2021 as per the Promotion Policy 2020.
According to the notification, the leftover candidates of 2020 shall be promoted as per the promotion policy 2020.
With reference to the Technical School Certificate annual examination, the notification says that the Sindh Board of Technical Education, Karachi will conduct the SSC (Part-II) (TSC) Annual Examination, 2021 from July 6, 2021. Likewise, the annual examination 2021 for HSC (Part-II) (DAE) 2021 will be conducted from July 27, 2021, respectively.
According to the notification, the annual examination, 2021 of classes IV to VII shall be conducted by schools at their own convenience.
